Vegueros, whose expertise, experience and skill in tobacco cultivation have helped make Habanos what it is today. Since 1845, the Robaina family has continuously grown tobacco on their excellent Vegas.
Since 1845, the Robaina family has been continuously growing tobacco on their excellent fields in Cuchillas de Barbacoa, located in the San Luis region of the Vuelta Abajo tobacco growing area.
The "Vegas Robaina" brand was introduced in 1997 to honour all Cuban vegueros (tobacco producers), above all the most famous veguero, Don Alejandro Robaina, who was known throughout his life for his outstanding wrapper leaves.
This brand represents all the anonymous vegueros who, with their tobacco knowledge, experience and skill, have helped to make Habanos what it is today.
The two medium to strong flavours "Famosos" and "Unicos" are made entirely by hand, tripa larga - long fillers made entirely by hand.
